Saints Hockey Club Announces Bishop Kearney Selects Transition To Independent Charter

Rochester, NY - The Saints Hockey Club would like to formally announce that the Bishop Kearney Selects Boys Hockey Program will now operate under their own independent charter and will no longer utilize the Saints Hockey Club charter, which has been in place since the inception of the Bishop Kearney Selects boys hockey program in 2020. 

Since its inception, the Bishop Kearney boys program has operated under the charter of the Saints Hockey Club, whose support and partnership were instrumental in launching and developing the foundation of Bishop Kearney’s elite hockey program model. The Saints Hockey Club President & Owner, Chris Collins, was also a co-founder of the Bishop Kearney boys program in 2020. Throughout the course of the six-year relationship between the Saints Hockey Club and Bishop Kearney, the program achieved significant success including several New York State Championships and two USA Hockey National Championships.

With sustained growth, national recognition, and a fully integrated academic and athletic model at Bishop Kearney, the boys program has reached a point where operating under its own charter best aligns with its long-term vision.

Beginning with the 2026-2027 season, the Saints Hockey Club will continue to operate at the Tier 1 level for ages 9U-13O, with the flexibility to expand into older age groups in the future. Bishop Kearney Selects will operate under their new independent charter at the 14U-18U levels, formally establishing separate pathways following the successful six-year partnership. 

Importantly, the positive working relationship between the Saints Hockey Club and Bishop Kearney Selects will continue. Chris Collins and Bishop Kearney Selects Boys Hockey Director, David Arduin, will continue to collaborate to ensure coaching staffs from both organizations will remain connected, to ensure the highest level of development for our players.
