Saints Hockey Club Announce Mitch Major as Director of Coach & Player Development!
The Saints Hockey Club is excited to announce Mitch Major as the new Director of Coach and Player Development. With 31 years of coaching experience at all levels, Mitch brings an unmatched passion and expertise to the program. A four-year letterman for the Geneseo Ice Knights, Mitch earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education from LeMoyne College.
Over his career, Mitch has earned 7 state championships, 10 Section 3 Coach of the Year awards, and 5 New York State Coach of the Year accolades. With 29 years of teaching experience, he knows how to shape not only great hockey players but also strong individuals.
Mitch's hockey background is deeply rooted in his family. He and his wife Kristen have three children who all play hockey. Charlie plays Division 1 college hockey at Cornell, Henry is currently playing in the USHL for the Chicago Steel and is a Cornell commit, and Cora plays Tier 1 hockey out of Syracuse.
“I am blessed for this opportunity to bring my experience and love of this great game of hockey to the Saints program, where we will put the players and their development first,” said Mitch.
